Frequently asked questions

Where will the festivities take place?

The wedding will have a brief civil signing on saturday morning at the Château-Renault town hall, where Maxime hails from.
The main ceremony, dinner, party and following day's festivities will take place at the Château Gaillard in the town of Amboise. We strongly recommend that you choose accommodation in Amboise, a small town brimming with shops, monuments and activities.

When should we RSVP?

You have received an email inviting you to respond to your invitation via the website, by April 30th. Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions.

How to travel to Amboise?

If you are leaving from Paris, we can either rent a car (2hr30 drive), or take the train from Gare Montparnasse in Paris to Gare de Saint-Pierre-des-Corps (1hr30).

In Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, shuttles will be available Friday afternoon (schedule to follow) to take you to downtown Amboise.
Train tickets will go on sale between January and March 2026 (we'll alert you!), and typically cost around 80-100 euros return (Tickets available on SNCF or Trainline.)

Where can I park if I come by car?

At Château-Renault town hall on the morning of July 25th: vans will be available for the round trip from downtown Amboise to Château-Renault. If you prefer to come by car, free parking spaces will be available at the entrance to the town hall.
At Château Gaillard on the evening of July 25th: free parking spaces will be reserved for guests at the Château entrance.

What is the dress code?

We invite you to choose festive, colorful outfits (pink, yellow, orange... no black or white) that are comfortable in hot weather, and that you wouldn't wear every day - now's your chance! (no jeans, etc.)

Prefer comfortable shoes, compatible with outdoor events, on grass and with some walking (we advise you to avoid stilettos, etc. - by the way, don't feel obliged to wear heels, pretty sandals are welcome!)
See Events page for additional event-specific information.

What to do between lunch and main event on Saturday?

At the end of lunch in Château-Renault, shuttles will be provided for the return trip to downtown Amboise. While we're taking bridal photos, we invite you to explore the town, relax or prepare your evening wear for those who wish!

Will transportation be provided?

For those without a car, shuttles will be available at four occasions:
Friday afternoon, July 24th (schedule to follow): from Saint-Pierre-des-Corps station to hotels in downtown Amboise
Saturday morning, July 25th:
10 a.m: travel from downtown Amboise to Château-Renault town hall
2 p.m.: return from Château-Renault to downtown Amboise
Saturday evening, July 25th:
Starting at midnight: return from Château Gaillard to downtown Amboise
Sunday July 26th (schedule to follow): from downtown Amboise to Saint-Pierre-des-Corps station

In what languages will the festivities be held?

French, English and Arabic will be the three languages you hear at our wedding!

Can we bring our children?

We would be delighted to see your children, but the layout of the venue and certain safety constraints (including waterways and landscaped areas) do not allow us to welcome them in a safe and relaxed way.

Where can we find your wedding registry?

We won't have a wedding gift list. We're immensely happy to be able to bring our families and loved ones together, and the greatest gift you can give us is your presence. If you'd like to bring something, please bring your own stories, memories of family and times spent together, family heirlooms, or photos to hang on our walls. If you have any questions (or if you'd prefer it to be a surprise!), please don't hesitate to contact our organizer, Virginie Ribeiro Laurent: [email protected].

Can we take photos?

Of course, everyone is welcome to take photos, with one exception: you'll be asked to put your phones away during the ceremony.
A professional photographer will be on hand during the day, and photos will be shared with you, so if you prefer to disconnect and enjoy the day to the full, that's encouraged, don't hesitate!
